About Our MD
Hi, I'm Lucy, Chartered FCIPD. I am an experienced Head of Human Resources & CIPD Level 7 qualified.
I started Bitesize HR Limited in 2022 whilst still working part-time, then moved into full-time MD in 2024.
My overarching objective for Bitesize is to make the Senior HR expertise that Corporate businesses have, accessible to all businesses. Access to HR expertise will reduce costs, build productivity and reduce risk.
Some organisations only need access to advice in case something happens. Others need a few hours of support per month. Others need lots of HR support for a defined period to deliver a project or task.
Bitesize provide all of these services, ensuring the solution is affordable and far lower than an the ongoing salary cost of an employed HR Director!
From 2008 to 2024 I worked in large, corporate businesses including New Look Retailers, Peugeot Citroen, Balfour Beatty, Interserve and Mitie. My experience is varied across lots of industries from Warehousing, Retail, Engineering, Construction and the NHS which has given me a great, all-round experience in all aspects of HR.
I am most at home in manual environments, with typically male-dominated workforces and lots of Employee Relations and manual handling issues.
Throughout my HR career my job has been to decode all things Human Resources for Line Managers and for junior HR colleagues. I've worked in a number of Generalist HR roles across my career, supporting large numbers of employees in one location, as a Regional HR contact visiting sites across the South of the UK and also in Shared Services providing remote Human Resources advice and support to managers across the UK. This rounded experience gives me great insight to understand your businesses, the people challenges you face and therefore how Bitesize can best support you.
